Die Arbeit im internationalen Bereich kann unerwartete Überraschungen bringen: Es erfordert kulturelle Sensibilität und Bewusstsein, um auf das zu achten, was im Raum passiert. Und manchmal – leider – merkt man es erst viel später. Vielleicht erkennen Sie erst, wenn Sie eine Dokumentation im Fernsehen sehen, dass genau das passiert ist, als Sie mit dieser Gruppe dort gearbeitet haben! Wir müssen auch vorsichtig sein mit Stereotypen, denn das ist nicht das, was wir anstreben. Manchmal kann jedoch die Art und Weise, wie Dinge, selbst in einem benachbarten Land, getan werden, für uns „seltsam“ erscheinen.
Wie können wir nahe bei uns selbst bleiben, nicht wertend und verbunden sein, indem wir das in der Gruppe nutzen und das Geschehen unterstützen, um der Gruppe bei ihrer Entwicklung und ihrem Wachstum zu helfen, wie wir es in unserem Angebot versprochen haben?
Wir arbeiten soziometrisch und soziodramatisch an uns selbst, um mehr darüber zu erfahren, wer wir sind, wie wir gesehen werden und welche Rollen wir entwickeln müssen, um international arbeiten zu können.
Working in the international field: a sociometric/sociodramatic exploration
Working in the international field can yield unexpected surprises: it needs cultural sensitivity and awareness to remain attuned to what is happening in the room. And sometimes – alas – you won’t catch it until much later. Perhaps when you see a documentary on television you suddenly realise, aha, this was going on when I worked there with this group! Also we have to be careful with stereotyping, because this is not what we are after. However, sometimes how things are done, even in a neighbouring country, can feel ‘strange’ to us.
How can we remain close to ourselves, be non-judgmental and connected, using what is in the group and facilitating what is happening to help the group develop and grow, as we promised in our offer?
We work with ourselves sociometrically and sociodramatically to discover more of who we are, how we are seen and which roles we need to develop to work internationally.
